Inside the Budget Gaming Laptop
Intel Core i5-13420H Processor
The 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13420H has 8 cores, made up of 4 performance cores and 4 efficient cores, with a maximum turbo frequency of 4.6GHz. It is an H-series chip designed for performance laptops, giving you solid headroom for gaming, Discord, browser tabs and study apps running together.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU
The RTX 3050 Laptop GPU has 6GB of GDDR6 video memory and runs at up to 45W Maximum Graphics Power with Dynamic Boost, with a boost clock of up to 1172.5MHz. As a dedicated graphics chip with its own video memory, it is the reason this machine can handle games that laptops with only integrated graphics struggle to run.
Memory and Storage
This budget gaming laptop ships with 8GB of DDR4-3200 memory as a single 8GB module and supports up to 64GB, so there is room to add more RAM later for heavier multitasking or newer games. Storage is a 512GB NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD for quick boot and load times, and there is also a 2.5-inch SATA bay for adding a hard drive to hold a larger game library.
15.6-Inch FHD 144Hz Display
The 15.6-inch FHD screen runs at 1920×1080 with a 144Hz refresh rate on an IPS-level panel. Full HD is a natural match for the RTX 3050, and the high refresh rate makes aiming and tracking in fast games feel more responsive.
Ports, Battery and Portability
Connectivity is generous for the price: three USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, a USB-C port with DisplayPort support, HDMI for an external screen, Gigabit Ethernet for stable wired online play, plus Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. A 3-cell 52.4Whr battery and 120W adapter power the system, and at 21.7mm thick and 1.86kg, this budget gaming laptop is easy to carry to class or a mate’s place.

- Casual gamers who want a dedicated RTX graphics card on a budget
